For Anxiety & Distress

اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي عَبْدُكَ، ابْنُ عَبْدِكَ، ابْنُ أَمَتِكَ، نَاصِيَتِي بِيَدِكَ، مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُكْمُكَ، عَدْلٌ فِيَّ قَضَاؤُكَ

Allahumma inni abduk, ibnu abdik, ibnu amatik, nasiyati biyadik, madin fiyya hukmuk, adlun fiyya qada'uk

O Allah, I am Your servant, the son of Your servant, the son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment upon me is assured and whatever You have decreed for me is just.

Hisnul Muslim 116 — Du'a of distress (Ibn Masud) · Sahih — Ahmad 3712, Ibn Hibban

لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ

La ilaha illallahul-adhimul-halim, la ilaha illallahu rabbul-arshil-adhim

There is no deity worthy of worship but Allah, the Magnificent, the Forbearing. There is no deity worthy of worship but Allah, Lord of the magnificent throne.

Hisnul Muslim 118 · Sahih — Bukhari 6345, Muslim 2730

اللّٰهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو فَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ

Allahumma rahmataka arju fala takilni ila nafsi tarfata ayn

O Allah, it is Your mercy that I hope for, so do not leave me in charge of my affairs even for the blink of an eye.

Hisnul Muslim 119 · Hasan — Abu Dawud 5090

لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin

There is no deity worthy of worship but You. Glory be to You! Indeed I have been of the wrongdoers. (Du'a of Yunus ﷺ)

Hisnul Muslim 120 — Quran 21:87 · Sahih — Tirmidhi 3505

حَسْبُنَا اللّٰهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ

Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal-wakil

Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.
