Upon Waking

4 duas with Arabic, transliteration, meaning and source.

الحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilayhin-nushur

All praise is for Allah who gave us life after having taken it from us and unto Him is the resurrection.

Hisnul Muslim 1 · Sahih — Bukhari 6312

لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa ala kulli shay'in qadir

None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise and He is over all things capable.

Hisnul Muslim 2 · Sahih — Bukhari 6312

الحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِي عَافَانِي فِي جَسَدِي، وَرَدَّ عَلَيَّ رُوحِي، وَأَذِنَ لِي بِذِكْرِهِ

Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi afani fi jasadi, wa radda alayya ruhi, wa adhina li bidhikrih

All praise is for Allah who restored to me my health and returned my soul and has allowed me to remember Him.

Hisnul Muslim 3 · Hasan — Tirmidhi 3401

أَصْبَحْنَا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ الإِسْلَامِ، وَعَلَى كَلِمَةِ الإِخْلَاصِ، وَعَلَى دِينِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ

Asbahna ala fitratil-islam, wa ala kalimatil-ikhlas, wa ala dini nabiyyina Muhammad

We have risen upon the fitrah of Islam, upon the word of sincerity, upon the religion of our Prophet Muhammad.
